Anderson Foundation Supports MACL London Marathon Runners Fundraising for BASICS Essex

We were proud to mark the incredible fundraising efforts of our 2025 London Marathon runners with a cheque presentation today for BASICS Essex, celebrating the amazing total of £18,400 raised to support the charity’s vital emergency medical work across the region.

A team of committed runners trained hard, ran with heart, and rallied an incredible network of support behind them. Matt Steel, Evie Hepburn, Hannah Kelly, Inge Nijkamp, Katie Whiteman, Max Gunn, Nicki Mortimer, Sonny Stone, and Mick Culhane, all played a part in reaching this fantastic total.

Paul Gates and Christine Grayston from BASICS Essex joined Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Jay and one of the runners Matt Steel for the presentation, where the group took a moment to reflect on the commitment and passion that went into each mile run, and every pound raised.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported, or cheered on the team along the way. Your generosity directly helps BASICS Essex continue delivering emergency medical support to those who need it most.

Congratulations again to Matt and the full marathon team, what an achievement!
