The name Coggeshall Mill pays tribute to Coggeshall’s vast history as a key settlement instrumental in the production of cloth, silks, velvet, and lace which is said to have provided jobs to more than 50% of the entire Coggeshall population way back in 1557.

This site will provide much-needed homes to this area of Essex while respecting its heritage and protecting The Essex Way, a 81 mile pedestrian route from Harwich to Epping which meanders through some of Essex most delightful towns, villages and countryside – and right through the middle of the Coggeshall Mill development.

As principal contractor, M. Anderson Construction subcontracted to Tru Plant to undertake the sitewide topsoil strip, cut and fill and attenuation basin excavation.

Meanwhile its work on the 42-acre site has included construction of 2,100m of roads, both tarmac and block paved construction, 2,500m of footways, cycleways and informal paths and 898m of garden and retaining walls.

Once complete, the site will include a parcel of land allocated for construction of a care home. Site Manager for M. Anderson Construction Ltd is Scott Keeble overseeing a team of 35.
