Sharing this site with consortium lead Vistry Eastern Counties, Countryside Partnerships have three phases on this development at Coggeshall Mill and M. Anderson Construction as principal contractor have already started work on phase 1 and 2.

This work has included full site set-up and compound construction, drainage, foundations, brickwork and a mixture of permeable and non-permeable drive specifications for homes.

The whole development consists of 42 acres of which 13 are to be developed by Countryside Partnerships including 73 homes – 51 of which have been designated affordable.

The area has a rich history as a key settlement instrumental in the production of cloth, silks, velvet, and lace, said to have provided jobs to more than 50% of the entire Coggeshall population way back in 1557.

It is also home to a swath of pathway named The Essex Way, a 81 mile pedestrian route from Harwich to Epping which ambles through some of Essex most charming towns, villages and countryside – and right through the middle of the Coggeshall Mill development.

Site Manager on this scheme is Jason Lawrence and he is overseeing a team of 20 M. Anderson Construction Ltd employees.
