Kings Hill Park is set to bring 204 new homes to a 29-acre site in the heart of Rochford thanks to a scheme by Bloor Homes.

M. Anderson Construction has worked alongside Tru Earthworks, Stuart Wells, H B Tunnelling, Herts Traffic Management and Naio on phase 1 of the scheme which is due to be completed in May 2025.

Along with full site set-up, compound construction, including office and welfare areas, car park, and material storage, M. Anderson Construction Ltd has also supported tree protection fencing and badger fencing to preserve known badger setts, Japanese knotweed treatment and removal and silt management fencing to prevent ingress of silt entering existing water systems.

The S278 works involved extensive traffic management required to ensure traffic flows and pedestrian safety, carriageway and footway changes and lighting improvements to Percy Cottis Road and road widening and footpath upgrades to Ashingdon Road with lighting, signage, and street furniture upgrades.

Kerb line adjustments, white lining, signage, and street lighting upgrades were also provided to Roche Avenue roundabout and Rectory Road roundabout. Flood alleviation works, drainage work and further carriageway and footway construction has also been undertaken.

Groundworks have included traditional foundations and piled foundations, brickwork, and external works such as drives, parking areas and paths and patios. Site Manager for the project is Dave Cartledge overseeing a team of 30.
