Meadow View, Silver End, will see 195 homes and two apartment blocks built in Silver End, Essex as part of a scheme from Redrow Homes.

The project will replace 41.5 acres of arable farmland and a horse livery with stable block to bring much-needed homes to the area.

To date, M. Anderson Construction Ltd has been involved in a series of works including provision of plant for archaeologists undertaking investigation works prior to commencing the main works, construction access roads and compound construction.

We have also constructed the sales centre with groundworks to five plots and associated external works such as paving, car parking, service trenching and ducting, illuminated bollards, uplighters and signage.

We then won work on phase 1 of the scheme which involved all aspects of standard groundworks including roads, both tarmac and block paved construction, sewers, service trenching, foundations, brickwork and oversites, external works and domestic drainage and services.

In addition, was the construction of three large, linked attenuation basins used to store surface water in the event of heavy rainfall, construction of a pumping station and diversion of an existing overhead cable into below ground ducting linked to a new electrical substation to provide power to the new houses.

Phase 3, which commenced in 2022, was a repeat of the works to phase 1.

Site Manager for this project was Scott Keeble on phase 1 and is Bill Nethersole on phase 3.
