M. Anderson Construction Ltd (MACL) is proud to announce the success of the 2024 MACL Fishathon, raising an impressive £23,195 —surpassing the £20,000 target. Thank you to the The Anderson Foundation for their generous match funding of £10,000, helping to boost the total even further. Now in its fourth year, this annual event continues to support the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, the only UK charity dedicated to the emotional, physical, and financial well-being of the construction community.
Held at Crowsheath Fisheries in Billericay, the Fishathon brought together 30 enthusiastic anglers for an overnight fishing adventure. Organised by Project Manager Steve Townley and Senior Site Manager Ron “Rocket” Sant, the event is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues, promote mental health awareness, and build camaraderie within the construction industry.
With more than £60,000 raised since its inception, the MACL Fishathon stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to giving back and supporting the well-being of its workforce and the wider construction community.
